Adolescent Health Check
During adolescence too, an annual health check remains an important part of preventive healthcare. This life stage, which in dogs often begins around 6 to 7 months of age, is a pivotal moment in the transition to adulthood.
During the adolescent check we not only look at your pet's general health, but also pay particular attention to changes typical of this age. This allows us to identify any problems in time and guide your pet optimally through this important developmental phase.
Because many physical and behavioural changes occur during this period, we strongly recommend an adolescent health check.

Specific Focus Areas
Growth and Weight
We continue monitoring the growth and weight curve to ensure your pet continues to develop healthily and in a balanced way.
Nutritional Needs
During adolescence your pet's nutritional needs change. We discuss when adjustments to the diet are indicated.
House Training
We check that house training is progressing well and discuss any problems or changes in behaviour.
Behaviour
Adolescence is often accompanied by behavioural changes. We therefore pay attention to the early recognition of potential behavioural problems.
Tooth Development
We evaluate the teething process and check whether the adult dentition is developing correctly.
Contraception
We discuss the options around contraception and consider together what is most appropriate for your pet.
